The Eskimos return… again we were greeted by more ice this only really affected the canal lakes. On the new pools and arena lake there was a little “cat” ice to break! This was soon shifted most were able to clear this with a pole and cupping kit!
The Overall league positions remained the same as round three. Typical winter fishing occurred again and one angler from the top teams recorded low scores. Some pegs are catching 50lb plus yet a couple of pegs away anglers are struggling for bites. Hopefully the weather will improve and they will start swimming again.
At last we had some continuity and round three was underway, the weather as ever was still challenging but this something that we have all grown to live with over the last few months!
This round in particular was more successful for both teams with Team B taking the honours on the day with a 20 point total, Team A fell just behind in third place with 24 points! Separated by the ever consistent Maver/Garbolino team.
The league had been badly affected by some of the worst weather we have witnessed for a long time (1963 according to Ian Waddington, but I am far too young to remember!) this meant having to cancel rounds and stage them at a later date.
