The Drennan Crystal Piker floats are made of clear plastic and were probably the first floats of this type to be manufactured. They are not only used by pike or zander anglers, but sea anglers use them for a variety of species, and the smaller sizes are regularly used by salmon anglers when float fishing with worms, shrimps, or prawns.
There are three main ways to use the Piker float, which are described in detail on each individually wrapped Piker.
- Stillwater Waggler style with Float Stops and Link Swivel.
- The streamlined Piker is also the perfect river float and can be fished slider style using a simple stop knot.
- Fixed between two Float Stops at the top and a Float Stop and Bead at the bottom.
Each float is marked with a gram weight on the side. This weight is not the weight of the float itself, but rather the amount of weight in grams that the float will support.
These floats are mixed colours; some are clear, some are very light green, and some are very light brown, but all are translucent or clear. They all have a high visibility red top.
The Drennan Piker float is available in 5 sizes.
