You can pay for your online purchases by using a recognised debit or credit card, or by Paypal.
Debit/Credit Card Payments
At the end of the checkout process, if you select the "Secure Card Payment" option, you will be taken to our secure card processing page. This is hosted by Protx. After your transaction is complete, you will come back to our site.
Paypal
Many people use Paypal regularly, and may wish to pay that way. You can use Paypal whether you are an existing Paypal member or not, and you can also elect to pay via Paypal with your debit or credit card, if you prefer. At the end of the checkout process, if you select the "Paypal" option, you will be taken to the Paypal site to make payment. After your transaction is complete, you will come back to our site.
Other Payment Methods
Although we are unable to offer this as an option through the website, we also offer Chequespread to personal and mail order customers within the UK. You can always email or telephone your order to take advantage of this option.

Order Tracking |

You can track the progress of your order by clicking the 'Account Maintenance' link displayed at the bottom left of each page if you are logged in.
If you have placed your order and successfully made payment, but we haven't yet processed it, its status will be 'Confirmed'. Once we process and ship your order, it will show as 'Shipped'.
Occasionally, its status will be 'Pending' - this can result from either of our payment processors not returning a success code to our site and doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. We can check things and manually update to 'Confirmed', 'Cancelled' (see below), or contact you if necessary.
Sometimes, an order will show 'Cancelled'. This might be because you have cancelled during the payment process, or we might mark a transaction cancelled if you have had a 'hiccup' during the checkout process and submitted more than one order by accident.
You can also view your order history or update any of your personal information on the same page.

Delivery Policy
We will always try to get your purchases to you as quickly as possible.
Orders (for stock items) received before 1pm, we will ship using our
usual carrier for delivery within 2/3 working days. Most orders are
shipped same day, for 24hr (next working day) delivery. Orders received
after 1pm will be sent out the following day using the same method.
For items that are temporarily out of stock we will notify you as
soon as we can and hold your items on back-order. By default we will
wait for the full order to be in stock before shipping, however, if
requested we will ship items separately at no extra cost. As soon as
items arrive into stock they will be despatched.
Whichever delivery method is selected, a signature will be required
on receipt of your goods. You should sign for goods 'unchecked' unless
you are able to thoroughly examine them before signing.
We will always try to pass on any delivery instructions to carriers,
but they will have their own policy on leaving goods with neighbours,
for example, and a signature will be required in any event.
Because of the global availability and 24/365 nature of the World Wide Web, the website software has to try to cope with charging the most economical amount for shipping on any purchase of any physical size and weight to almost anywhere on the planet.
Because it can only decide how much to charge for shipping once it knows where you are and what you are buying, shipping charges are only calculated late in the checkout process. If the website cannot work out a price for your goods and/or destination, please send us an email and we will get back to you with a price.
We are constantly trying to make sure that we charge the least amount possible to get your goods to you - be assured that we are always trying to get your purchases to you more quickly, more safely and cheaper. Sometimes, it will be possible to offer a choice of shipping methods at varying prices so you can select your preferred option, but this is not always possible.
Delivery Charges
UK Customers
Shipping charges are based on the size and weight of your complete order, and are calculated on a sliding scale. Small items (a packet of hooks, say) will be sent by post for a nominal £1 charge. This is the minimum amount anything will cost for shipping. The most anything will cost within the UK is £7.99, which will be for long (rods, poles, etc) or heavy (bait, bedchairs, bivvies, etc) orders. The system will be sensible in deciding what to charge, and try to do it as cheaply as possible for you, only taking the shipping charge up to the next level if absolutely necessary.
Overseas Customers
Because you might be anywhere in the world, shipping charges will vary widely depending on your location and the weight and size of the goods in your order. Small items are surprisingly inexpensive to ship by airmail, so a handful of, say, hooks and swivels, will only cost £1 or £2 to some locations. On the other hand, unfortunately, heavy and/or bulky items are slightly more expensive to ship anywhere outside the UK (one of the problems of living on an island).

Returns Policy |

If you are not completely satisfied with your order when it arrives, we'll refund your money or exchange any item.
Before you return any goods, we ask that you contact us by telephone or email, so we know to expect your return. This must be done within 3 working days.
Send the goods by surface mail to our usual address, enclosing a copy of your receipt, and for your protection, please insure the package for its full value. A covering letter outlining your reasons for returning the goods would also be very helpful. Postage costs cannot be refunded, unless there is a fault with a product, or we made a mistake. If you have taken advantage of our Free Postage offer. A usual postage charge will be debited from your refund total. All items advertised are warranted against defects in workmanship and/or materials. These types of defects will generally appear immediately or at any rate within the first few months of use. At times, manufacturer warranties, received with the product, will override our own. In any case, unless otherwise specified, the item must be returned for our inspection. This does not affect your statutory rights.
